Wedding Wonders: Exploring Types of Ceremonies

  • Elopements & Intimate Weddings

An elopement is a wonderfully simple way to get married. It’s usually just the two of you, or perhaps a small group of around 15–20 of your closest family and friends.

Rather than planning a large wedding, elopements focus on what really matters — the two of you and the commitment you’re making to each other. They often take place in beautiful locations and have a relaxed, personal feel to them.

With fewer people and less structure to the day, there’s more time to slow down, take everything in, and simply enjoy the moment together. It’s intimate, meaningful, and often wonderfully relaxed.

For couples who want a wedding day that feels natural, personal and a little bit adventurous, an elopement can be the perfect choice.

  • Micro Weddings

Micro weddings are a lovely middle ground between a large celebration and an elopement. They usually include around 20–50 guests — the people who matter most to you.

You still have many of the elements of a traditional wedding day, but on a smaller, more relaxed scale. With a shorter guest list, the atmosphere often feels more personal and meaningful, and there’s time to properly enjoy the company of the people who are there to celebrate with you.

Micro weddings also allow a lot of flexibility when it comes to how the day looks and feels. Whether it’s an elegant garden gathering, a relaxed countryside celebration, or an intimate venue with beautiful surroundings, the focus stays on connection, good company and a day that truly reflects you as a couple.

For many couples, it’s the perfect balance — a wedding that feels special and celebratory, while still being intimate, relaxed and full of genuine moments.
